2013 NCAA/PAVO Clinic Information
Registering as an NBVO member
To register as a NBVO member, follow the instructions here. If you have questions, please contact Bill Stanley at registrar@gpvb.org or hopsinc@cox.net
LINE JUDGE CLINICS (added 8-6-12)
The NBVO will be holding line judge and scorekeeping clinics on the following dates:
Friday, August 17 at Creighton University (Ryan Center, D.K. Sokol Arena) meeting time: 4:30pm
Saturday, August 18 at University of Nebraska-Omaha (Sapp Fieldhouse) meeting time: 3:30pm
A pre-season scrimmage will be held after each clinic. Anyone wishing to work will need to bring a uniform. The uniform consists of a solid white polo (preferably with certified logo), navy blue pants, white socks, white shoes and a black or navy belt if you have belt loops in your pants. If you only work High School, you may wear your High School uniform. We would prefer you contact Bill Stanley prior to these dates so we know approximately how many we will have. Updating information in databases
If you are an official, or want to be an official for the Nebraska Board of Volleyball Officials (NBVO), you should be aware that using the internet for assigning and tracking information is becoming more and more common these days. There are several other sites you might need to update or check throughout the season
(year):
a) NBVO (Nebraska Board of Volleyball Officials) database (www.nbvo.org)- This is our officials board website where you maintain your availability for college matches scheduled by the NBVO assignor. You are also required to keep your contact information updated in case of an assignment change or any new assignments.
b) USA membership database (www.gpvb.org)- This is where you sign up to be a member of the Great Plains Region of USA Volleyball. Your $40 annual dues is submitted to the Great Plains office. You must be a USA member and have a current background screening through USA Volleyball in order to be eligible to officiate at an USAV or Great Plains Region events.
c) PAVO officials database (www.pavo.org) - This is a database for PAVO. If you are, or have been an official with PAVO, you should have a record in this database. To get to this database, go to www.pavo.org and click on Member Login (at the top). This will take you to the login screen. Check with your local board if you think you might not have a login so we can get you a new login or find your current one.
